About
A guided ceramics workshop where participants shape a decorative plate from a clay slab using the sgraffito technique. It is run by Paint It Easy, a creative studio whose instructors guide the group step by step, with an instructor who speaks fluent English. Sgraffito comes from the Italian word for 'scratch': you carve through a layer of coloured slip to reveal lines and patterns underneath. The ticket includes clay, tools, a welcome drink, plus glazing and firing; the finished plate is ready to pick up after about four weeks.
