Sylvie Courvoisier, Ned Rothenberg, Nasheet Waits

Short Cuts is a collectively led trio featuring pianist Sylvie Courvoisier, saxophonist and clarinetist Ned Rothenberg, and drummer Nasheet Waits, three of New York's best improvisers of the last three decades. Their music is fully improvised and shaped by the progressive jazz tradition from Ornette to Zorn. Experimental textures meet rhythmic depth, with harmonic refinement fostering freely flowing lyricism. The concert takes place at Moods at Schiffbau in Zürich.
