About

A permanent exhibition at the Thomas Mann Archive at ETH Zurich. At its centre stands the author's famous desk, which accompanied him into exile, together with his private library and numerous objects from different cultures. The exhibition shows how Thomas Mann, who spent his final years in Switzerland, went about his work and which tools and habits shaped his writing process. It also explores his working day and family life and how these fit around his writing.
