Tour of The Legacy of Amazonia plus chocolate tasting.

A tandem tour of the exhibition «Das Vermächtnis Amazoniens – Kunst und Archäologie» (The Legacy of Amazonia – Art and Archaeology) at the Museum Rietberg, followed by a chocolate tasting. Archaeological finds from the Ecuadorian Amazon, including vessels bearing traces of cocoa, show that the plant was cultivated in the South American lowlands thousands of years before the Maya. The tour is led by Christiane Ruzek together with Lukas Bosshart, head of the Taucherli chocolate manufactory, who explains cocoa's journey from bean to bar. After about an hour and a half, participants discover Bean-to-Bar chocolate in a tasting, with chocolate for sale afterwards.
