The Zurich Death Salon is a gathering for talking about death, mourning and grief in a safe space where everyone is welcome to share, listen or simply be. The hostess is Kristen Vermilyea, a filmmaker, artist and death doula. The Salons follow the spirit of the eighteenth-century salon, encouraging conversations about mortality and its effects on culture and history. The evening is held primarily in English, with a bar, snacks and a short break halfway through.
