Zwei Tage Strom im Filmpodium: Audiovisionen aus Marokko

An opening evening of electroacoustic music and films from Morocco at the cinema on Nüschelerstrasse. It is co-produced by the Zurich biennale festival Zwei Tage Strom and the Filmpodium, where the festival is a guest for the second time. The Moroccan music pioneer Ahmed Essyad performs electronic works from the 1970s, while Swiss sound artist Gilles Aubry plays a set with modular synthesizer and computer. Films by artist Laila Hida on traces of memory between fact and fiction accompany the music, and Essyad and Aubry offer insights into their work in a talk.
