About
The 4. Kunstplausch is a joint conversation about art, money, attention and power under the title "Wer entscheidet? Über Banksy, Kunst und die Sichtbarkeit auf dem Kunstmarkt". Carolin Orlik guides the evening, which starts from Banksy's 2018 action with his work "Girl with Balloon" auctioned at Sotheby's. Central questions include who determines the value, visibility and market prices of art, what role galleries, museums, media and networks play, and whether access to the art market is unequally distributed. It also asks whether formats like the oskar | galerie and the Lange Nacht der Bilder can offer a counterpoint to the established art market.
