About
This evening presents the artworks that will later be auctioned at the 31st charity art auction of the Protestant Church Berlin-Brandenburg-schlesische Oberlausitz (EKBO) in aid of refugees. Under the motto "Kunst hilft helfen" (art helps helping), works by 52 artists go under the hammer, including Thomas Scheibitz, Karin Sander, Heinz Mack, Gerhard Marcks, A K Dolven and Rimini Protokoll, who are taking part for the first time. The proceeds benefit church projects with and by migrants and refugees as well as the participating artists. The programme includes a musical reading by Vernesa Berbo, who came to Berlin as a war refugee in 1993, and a welcome address by Federal Anti-Discrimination Commissioner Ferda Ataman.
