Alberto Giacometti – Ausstellung im Gutshaus Steglitz

The exhibition "Giacometti. Figur. Raum" at Gutshaus Steglitz shows sculpture, painting and works on paper from the Klewan collection. It is curated by Brigitte Hausmann of the Cultural Department of Steglitz-Zehlendorf. At its centre are four bronzes by Alberto Giacometti (1901–1966), including "La Cage (première version)" and "Tête de Diego", accompanied by paintings and works on paper exploring figure and space. At the opening on 5 November, district councillor Malgorzata Sijbrandij and Dr. Brigitte Hausmann gave welcoming addresses, art historian Dr. Veronika Rudorfer gave an introduction, and Helmut Klewan read and sang from his autobiographical notes.
