About

„Seit…" is a three-part exhibition series at the Haus am Waldsee in Berlin-Zehlendorf. Celebrating 80 years of the institution, which opened in 1946 in the villa once belonging to the textile manufacturer Hermann Knobloch, it looks back at the venue's beginnings: the conditions it started in, the change from private home to exhibition house, and the ruptures and continuities of the postwar period. The series is shown in the café, the building's former garage, on a display architecture developed by the Georgian curator and archivist Nina Akhvlediani. Various artists fill the three chapters, each opening fresh perspectives on the institution's history.
