About

Kreuzberg: Kunst und Migration seit 1960 is a group exhibition at Gropius Bau in Berlin's Kreuzberg district. It is curated by Gürsoy Doğtaş and Patrizia Dander, together with Sonja Borstner and Elena Franziska Setzer, and funded by the German Federal Cultural Foundation. Around 130 works address the core experiences of guest workers and later generations, with rarely shown historical artworks meeting pieces created specifically for the exhibition. They explore migration, exile, the housing crisis, racism and exclusion, as well as resistance, empowerment, solidarity and community.
