About
Sam Tiussi is an artist-in-residence at Acker Stadt Palast. The Brazilian transdisciplinary artist, born in 1983 and based in Berlin, has a background in classical piano and fine arts and works with immersive installations, compositions and performances. Her synaesthesia-based work lets her visualise sounds as shapes; glass, a material she often uses, comes from childhood experiences with her father. As an artist with autism and ADHD, she creates imaginary ecosystems that challenge societal boundaries and perceptions, such as through Creatures (glass robots), Piano Glass (an experimental instrument) and her Echospheric project.
