About

Berlin's AckerStadtPalast hosts the Zafraan Ensemble as part of its Artists-in-residence. Founded in Berlin in 2009, the group of ten permanent members from Spain, France, New Zealand, Australia and Germany plays contemporary music that reflects today's life, society and reality in all their facets. In interplay with art forms such as theatre, performance, installation and dance, the ensemble observes, explores and processes what surrounds us: people, events, nature and the technologies of today.
