About
As part of the Berlin Fairy Tale Days, a musical vespers service titled „Engelswerk“ takes place. The renowned early music singer Isabel Schicketanz, the Basel Renaissance ensemble astrophil & stella and Berlin's WUNDERKAMMER bring music around the Geneva Psalter to life. The hymn book of the Huguenots, the French Protestants, was meant to be a foretaste of paradise and angelic music, yet the psalm composers also found the right tone for earthly joys and sorrows of love. Psalms and chansons by Le Jeune, Goudimel, Sermisy and Crüger will be heard.
