About

Ben Becker reads from T.C. Boyle's novel „No Way Home“, which he presented together with the author on a tour and now continues solo. The novel tells the story from the perspective of the assistant physician Terry, who after his mother's death inherits her house in Boulder City in the Nevada desert and there meets Bethany, an attractive, manipulative homeless woman who draws him into a life whose control he increasingly loses. Seen through the eyes of Bethany's ex-boyfriend Jesse, who pursues Terry on his motorcycle and threatens him, the world looks entirely different, and Becker lends these opposing figures his voice and experience. In doing so he questions moral prejudices and gives the book a third dimension.
