Brigitte Waldach im Dialog mit Joseph Beuys
Galerie Mathias Güntner, Knesebeckstraße 90, 10623 Berlin, Charlottenburg
About
"Brigitte Waldach im Dialog mit Joseph Beuys" is an exhibition in which the Berlin artist Brigitte Waldach enters a research-based exchange with the iconic work of Joseph Beuys. Museum Schloss Moyland, which holds close to 6,000 artworks by Beuys together with a comprehensive archive, invited Waldach (born 1966, Berlin) to take part in the series of artists in dialogue with him. Waldach co-curates the show with Antje-Britt Mählmann, and new works are commissioned and produced for it, as in earlier editions of the format. Both artists connect drawing, language and thought in their practice, so that Beuys' delicate early drawings are reflected anew from a contemporary perspective.
