THE LAST ONES AWAKE is a solo exhibition of oil-on-linen portraits in the Vault of St. Agnes. French artist Rebecca Brodskis paints close friends from the years she spent in Berlin, tracing a community bound less by circumstance than by shared vulnerability, ambition and care. The works reflect the close-knit artistic community of Berlin in the mid-2000s, when friendships carried the weight of family.
