About
An open dialogue as part of Berlin Science Week addressing the question “Can Science Remain Open in an Authoritarian World?” on an afternoon at Haus der Kulturen der Welt. It is organised by the Einstein Foundation Berlin together with the Berlin Center for Global Engagement and the Center for Open and Responsible Research, both part of the Berlin University Alliance. With the audience, the dialogue explores what is at stake when research organisations have to close their doors, the diverse pressures on science, and how the transformative benefits of open science can still be safeguarded. The discussion is moderated by Dr. Sakine Weikert (DAAD); the speakers are Dr. Kamran Naim (CERN) and Prof. Andrea Fleschenberg dos Ramos Pinéu (Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin).
