Christliche Bildbetrachtung mit Dr. Sven Jakstat • Prof. Dr. Dr. Felix Körner SJ

The 'Christliche Bildbetrachtung' is a monthly lecture series; this session discusses the painting 'Bildnis der Familie des Amsterdamer Verlegers Laurens Jacobsz' (1598) by Pieter Pietersz. The interdisciplinary series is a cooperation between the Stiftung St. Matthäus and the Gemäldegalerie of the Staatliche Museen zu Berlin. Following the church calendar, an art historian and a theologian discuss selected paintings and open them for discussion. The speakers are Dr. Stephan Kemperdick of the Gemäldegalerie Berlin and Prof. Dr. Johann Hinrich Claussen, cultural officer of the Council of the EKD; the series is led by Dr. Sabine Engel and Pastor Hannes Langbein. The lecture takes place in the Vortragssaal Kulturforum, Matthäikirchplatz; admission is free and no registration is required.
