A panel discussion on the role of the insurance industry in strengthening climate resilience and narrowing the protection gap for natural catastrophe insurance in Europe. It is hosted by the Permanent Representation of the Czech Republic to the EU together with the GDV and the Czech Insurance Association (ČAP). It takes the European Commission's announced Integrated Framework for Climate Resilience and Climate Insurance Alliance proposals as an occasion to discuss recent EU policy developments, prevention, insurability and limiting the financial impacts of natural disasters, drawing on experience from the Czech Republic and Germany. Speakers include representatives of the European Commission, Munich Re, EIOPA, the European Central Bank and Allianz Insurance Czech Republic, followed by a networking reception.
