About
An English-language online workshop on communication in Shibari, open to LGBTQIA+ people and friends, joining solo, paired or in groups. It is facilitated by Georg Barkas, an intimacy educator and rope bondage performer based in Vancouver, and Emmy, co-founder of Vancouver's Studio Allegory. In this first of three sessions, participants explore what communication is and how “talking” and “listening” in and with ropes can be understood. Knowing single and double column ties and basic frictions and hitches is required; ropes, safety gear and a partner are needed to tie along.
