About

"Schattenleben" at Bibliothek Lichtenrade is a comic reading followed by a conversation. The journalist Jonas Seufert and the comic artist Lisa Frühbeis spent five years researching with four people without papers about their lives without documents in Germany, which resulted in the comic reportage. One of the protagonists, Brienne from Thailand, who fought her way out of forced prostitution and got her boss sent to prison, will be present at the event. The reading is part of the festival CrossKultur 2026.
