The Bibliothek Schöneberg hosts a comic reading and conversation about "Schattenleben", with comic artist Lisa Frühbeis, Prof. Dr. Stefanie Kron and Brienne, one of the book's protagonists. "Schattenleben" is a comic reportage about people without papers, in which four people from very different backgrounds tell of their lives without documents in Germany. One of them is Brienne from Thailand, who fought her way out of forced prostitution in Germany and got her boss sent to prison. The book is the result of five years of intensive research, dozens of conversations and a joint collaboration between the four protagonists, journalist Jonas Seufert and Lisa Frühbeis; the event is part of CrossKultur 2026.
