About
"Der Herbst im Mittelalter" is a guided family tour through Museumsdorf Düppel, where visitors can experience first-hand how people lived and worked around the year 1200. It is part of the holiday programme "Magisch, herbstlich, kunterbunt" run by the Stiftung Stadtmuseum Berlin and shows why autumn was so important for rural life back then. Participants explore thatched-roof houses, try out a flail and grind grain by hand. Findings from archaeological excavations reveal who lived on the Havel and Spree in the Middle Ages and how life together changed at that time.
