About
Martinsfest at Museumsdorf Düppel is a festive lantern procession through the open-air museum as dusk falls. First the story of Saint Martin and the beggar is told on the village square, then the procession moves through woods and meadows past gardens and reconstructed medieval houses, with Saint Martin riding ahead on his horse as tradition demands. The festival is held by the Berlin Museum, which brings along the fairy-tale witch Silberzweig with stories and the group “Wolgemut” with music that everyone is invited to sing along to. Please bring your own lanterns.
