About

A colloquium talk about diamond as a material for quantum applications such as quantum information processing, communication and sensing. The speaker is Prof. Dr. Fedor Jelezko of the University of Ulm, appearing as part of the Max-von-Laue-Kolloquium of the Physikalische Gesellschaft zu Berlin. He explains how the spins of individual dopant atoms in diamond can be initialised, controlled and read out, and presents a scalable quantum register as well as elements of quantum networks based on single colour centres. Registration is required; the talk is moderated by Prof. Dr. Matthias Richter.
