About

"Neue Wege in der Biomedizin" is a lecture evening showing how interdisciplinary research combines chemistry and biology to visualise cell structures through microscopy and thereby locate proteins relevant to various diseases. Behind it are the Verband Biologie, Biowissenschaften und Biomedizin in Deutschland (VBIO) and Gläsernes Labor at Campus Berlin Buch. Researchers from the Max Delbrück Center and Charité present how micro- and nanoplastic enters brain cells, what consequences this has, and whether the particles can be broken down, shown using state-of-the-art microscopy and mini-brain models. Admission is free, registration is required, and the series is open to everyone.
