About
"Die Tiere der Steppe filzen" is a workshop for children aged 6 to 12, also for families. It is run by the Staatliche Museen zu Berlin and belongs to the programme of the Museum of Prehistory and Early History and the exhibition "Dschingis Khan. und die Welt der Mongolen". It is about the "five snouts" of the Mongolian steppe, the name nomads give to the animals that have provided them with almost everything for centuries, especially food and wool. Participants take wool and a needle in hand and felt a horse, camel, yak, sheep or goat.
