About
"Auf Entdeckungsreise durch das Mongolische Reich" (A journey of discovery through the Mongol Empire) is an exhibition tour for families with children aged 6 to 12 in the special exhibition "Dschingis Khan. und die Welt der Mongolen". It is run by the Staatliche Museen zu Berlin, Museum für Vor- und Frühgeschichte. The children get to know the animals of the nomads of the steppe, meet brightly coloured grave guardian figures and travel back in time to the palace of the Great Khan in Karakorum, capital of the Mongol Empire. In a real yurt, they can consider whether it would be a home for them.
