Die Welt von Heute und Gestern
Vagantenbühne, Kantstraße 12a, 10623 Berlin, Charlottenburg
About
"Die Welt von Heute und Gestern" is a theatre evening at the Vagantenbühne subtitled "Ansichten Europas", a play based on texts by Stefan Zweig. Lars Georg Vogel directs and, starting from Zweig's "Die Welt von Gestern", questions the European idea and identity. Victoria Findlay and Urs Stämpfli perform for around 80 minutes without intermission, with humour but also a clear stance. The evening asks what Europe means at a time when societies are drifting to the right and seeks answers to the question: Quo vadis Europa?
