Die Welt im Rücken
Vagantenbühne, Kantstraße 12a, 10623 Berlin, Charlottenburg
About
"Die Welt im Rücken" is a play based on Thomas Melle's novel, in a version by Tim Adam. It follows a writing self swept through Berlin and its clubs in a manic sense of omnipotence, until the crash into depression sets in. Melle, who himself lives with bipolar disorder, unsparingly recounts the phases of the illness and the struggle to understand. Tim Adam's gripping staging, originally developed for the E.T.A. Hoffmann Theater in Bamberg, is now performed with Marek Egert in the cast.
