About

Digital Democracy Day 2026 is an event about democracy in a digitalized society. Behind it is the initiative Zukunft D, supported by AlgorithmWatch, aula, Liquid Democracy, the Schwarzkopf-Stiftung Junges Europa and Wikimedia Deutschland. It explores how democracy can be kept alive in a digitalized society, with focal themes such as staying capable of action, sharing free knowledge and strengthening fundamental rights online. The program includes a keynote by Kübra Gümüşay, a parliamentary-style debate, workshops and an evening program.
