About
A reading and talk on Fontane's novel "Effi Briest" and its real-life model Elisabeth von Ardenne, who after her affair began a new life in Zehlendorf. Women's history expert Claudia von Gélieu of Frauentouren asks which of the two women's life stories better matched the social situation of women at the time. According to her famous grandson Manfred von Ardenne, she learned to ski at sixty and cycle at eighty, dying at ninety-eight in 1952. The event takes place in a district library in Berlin's south-west.
