Ein Nobody gegen Putin

“Ein Nobody gegen Putin” is a documentary film. The teacher Pasha Talankin, who also serves as video chronicler and event organizer at his school, records with his camera the effects of restrictive Russian politics on his pupils. After the outbreak of the war against Ukraine, everyday school life changes: the children once again learn of the glorious victories of the Soviet Union, Wagner mercenaries give “patriotism lessons”, and Pasha is drawn against his will into Putin's propaganda machinery. Horrified by the change at his school, he struggles with guilt and helplessness, and finally, when his own life may be in danger, decides to risk the dangerous escape from Russia.
