The documentary »Exit Through The Gift Shop« by world-famous street artist Banksy cleverly shifts between amateur documentation and mockumentary – it looks like a documentary, but is it really one? Banksy is a phantom: although his art adorns facades and walls all over the world, nobody knows who is behind the celebrated street artist. Until a crazy Frenchman and self-proclaimed documentary filmmaker named Thierry Guetta sets out to track Banksy down, which he actually manages through good contacts and a bit of luck. But then everything turns out differently than planned – a true (?) story: subversive, cheeky, entertaining and instructive!
