A Minute of Mankind: tragicomic play based on Stanisław Lem.

„Eine Minute der Menschheit“ is a tragicomic world premiere of a stage play on the DT Bühne of the Deutsches Theater. It is based on a text by Stanisław Lem, translated from Polish by Edda Werfel, in a stage version by Anita Vulesica and Lilly Busch, and directed by Anita Vulesica. The piece asks what humanity experiences, does to one another and destroys in sixty seconds, discussing statistics on death, reproduction, overpopulation and scarce resources as well as art made per minute. The balance of this absurd attempt at an „extreme summary of mankind“ and of probing the limits of statistical method turns out rather disastrous.
