About
“Emil und die Detektive” is a musical theatre piece for children aged 6 and up, based on Erich Kästner's classic children's book. The Atze Musiktheater has been staging it successfully since January 2017. It tells of Emil Tischbein, who travels to Berlin alone and chases the thief Grundeis, who stole his money on the train – helped by his cousin Pony Hütchen and Gustav with the horn and his gang. Under musical director Sinem Altan, ten performers appear in scenic songs, choral speaking and body percussion, playing live instruments such as cello, accordion, guitar and charango.
