FAIRSTAGE Treffpunkt with Konstantin Kohl of ver.di.

FAIRSTAGE Treffpunkt is a shared space for reflection where Berlin theatre workers exchange on concrete problems and big questions, taking place at the WAU. FAIRSTAGE, a model project working for discrimination-free and good working conditions at Berlin theatres, invites colleagues from all departments and trades to discuss how workers' representation functions in the cultural sector. After a welcome from the newly elected works council of HAU Hebbel am Ufer, Konstantin Kohl of ver.di gives a short input on union support for setting up works councils. The meeting looks at works and staff council work in artistic everyday life and how permanently employed theatre workers can also represent freelance artists; afterwards there is room for open exchange.
