"KW, a hike" is a walking tour through the streets around the KW Institute for Contemporary Art. In the early 1990s, the KW was founded in a former margarine factory. The tour traces the history of the institution, which is inseparably tied to its neighborhood and its buildings. It leads past boarded-up buildings, underground garages, communist club houses, and the courtyard of a collector living in a former nationalized factory.
