About

This is a matinee reading of the play „Geliebter Lügner“ by Jerome Kilty in the foyer of the Renaissance-Theater Berlin. In Hermann Stresau's German translation, Adelheid Kleineidam and Helmut Mooshammer read the correspondence spanning 40 years between the Nobel Prize- and Oscar-winning writer George Bernard Shaw and the celebrated actress Mrs. Patrick Campbell, a passionate, platonic relationship full of teasing and love of the theatre. The matinee is dedicated to Elisabeth Bergner, who achieved a triumphant success with it at the same house in 1959 alongside O.E. Hasse. For Kleineidam and Mooshammer it is their first collaboration together.
