About
GLA55. 10 Movements to the Music of Philip Glass is a dance premiere in which a room becomes circle and spiral, and bodies and time become a pulse. Behind the work are choreographer Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker with her company Rosas and the ensembles Ictus and BL!NDMAN. Six dancers and seven musicians create a bodily ritual to early works by Philip Glass, in which ellipses, circles and spirals become recurring figures. The choreography condenses minimal movement into a continuum of tension and release, making obsessive repetition and rhythmic precision palpable.
