HANE Salon: ADIRA: Anthony Hüseyin

ADIRA presents the film Treat Me Like Your Mother, which offers insight into the intimate experiences of four trans women from Lebanon. Behind the event is ADIRA, a queer Arab*/SWANA party and cultural series founded in 2023 by Hassandra and xanax_attax. Mohamad Abdouni's film is a powerful act of queer archiving that celebrates friendship, survival, chosen family and the women who shaped Beirut's queer history. ADIRA aims to connect cities and queer Arab* communities while centring SWANA perspectives.
