About

A historically informed concert by the ensemble Il pomo d’oro at the Philharmonie in Berlin. Countertenor Jakub Józef Orliński, also known as a breakdancer and celebrated for his lyrical, expressive voice, is joined by soprano Madison Nonoa. The programme ranges from early Baroque to the present, its works united by an atmosphere that is spiritual, meditative and melancholic. A highlight is Giovanni Battista Pergolesi’s Stabat Mater with its transcendentally beautiful solo singing.
