Vivaldi and Bach: string concert by the GABE ensemble.

A concert in which the Giovani Archi Bellunesi Ensemble (GABE) performs works by Vivaldi, Corelli and Bach. The young string ensemble from the Dolomites, led by Svetlana Pletneva, places Vivaldi's concertos alongside Bach's arrangements of the same works. The occasion is the hundredth year since the beginning of Vivaldi's modern rediscovery in 1926; as part of Europ'ART the project celebrates a shared European musical heritage that crosses borders. Admission is free, advance registration is recommended, and donations are welcome.
