Shepherd sounds: tour and concert with Salicornia.
Instrumentale Schäferklänge der besonderen Art
About
„Instrumentale Schäferklänge der besonderen Art“ is a public guided tour with talk and concert as part of the „Porzellan und Musik“ series at the Kunstgewerbemuseum. Under the motto „Schäferstündchen“, it explores the pastoral ideal worlds of the 18th century, in which the aristocracy's longing for a life in harmony with nature is reflected both in porcelain figures and in music. The ensemble „Salicornia“, with Gerold Jensen, Katja Kanowski and Michael Mages, plays rare instruments such as the Uilleann Pipes and the Nyckelharpa, recalling miniature depictions of bagpipes and hurdy-gurdies on the exhibited figures. The event is moderated by Dr. Claudia Kanowski in conversation with the musicians and Dr. Benedikt Brilmayer.
