Jahrgang 45 is a 1966 East German feature film directed by Jürgen Böttcher, regarded as one of the most beautiful German films. It tells of Alfred and Lisa, a married couple living in a tiny old apartment in Prenzlauer Berg, whose divorce proceedings have already begun. Alfred takes a few days off, lives aimlessly from day to day yet searches for something extraordinary, while Lisa cannot quite understand his wish for divorce but does not fight to save the marriage.
