About
"Jenseits der Norm?" is a public, dialogic guided tour offering a queer perspective on genders and sexualities in the ethnological collection. It is run by the Staatliche Museen zu Berlin and leads through the new presentation of the Ethnologisches Museum's collections. Topics include diverse gender roles, forms of relationship and sexualities around the globe, social norms and initiation rituals. Colonial collecting practices and gender narratives in the museum context are also critically examined.
