About

"Judentum erklingt" is a sound and touch tour through the permanent exhibition of the Jewish Museum for people with blindness or limited vision. It is run by the Jewish Museum Berlin; participants meet at the "Meeting Point" in the foyer of the old building. Jewish pop music and synagogue singing set the mood, followed by a group discussion of what makes up Jewish music. Participants touch or smell objects and listen to sound stations that bring religion and rituals, the forms of Hebrew letters, synagogues, the scent at Shabbat, traditions and dietary laws to life.
