Akustisch und haptisch durch BERLIN GLOBAL

This is a public guided tour of the BERLIN GLOBAL exhibition at the Humboldt Forum in which blind, visually impaired and sighted people explore the exhibition acoustically and tactilely together with trained cultural mediators. It focuses on detailed explanations and descriptions of the thematic rooms and installations; visitors may get close to selected objects, and some, such as the huge steel door of the Techno club Tresor, can be felt by touch. Further stories are made tangible through additional replicas and touchable material and sound samples, with plenty of time allowed. Blind, visually impaired and sighted participants exchange their impressions and enrich one another; the tour lasts 120 minutes, is held in German and is wheelchair accessible.
