KLEINES, EXTREM HARMLOSES DRAMA ÜBERS ANGELN
Renaissance-Theater Berlin, Knesebeckstraße 100, 10623 Berlin, Charlottenburg
About
A stage production at the Renaissance-Theater about two women anglers who set out early in the morning to wait together for the catch of a lifetime. The text is by Noëlle Haeseling, directed by Guntbert Warns and Karim Mezdour, with set design by Ezio Toffolutti and costumes by Ariane Warns; the cast includes Imogen Kogge, Valerie Neuenfels, Adrienne von Mangoldt and Irina Sulaver. The peaceful fishing idyll is thrown off balance when a talkative boathouse renter sends the fisheries inspectors after the two women, while the piece playfully breaks open gender roles and asks what forms female solidarity can take. The running time is 120 minutes including an interval.
